PHYSICAL APPEARANCE-

Guowei has black hair cut mostly short save for a long braid at the back of his head. His eyes are traditional earthbender green. His feet are heavily calloused from training but he usually wears shoes along with his traditional Earth Kingdom outfit.

Guowei is fairly stocky, much like the typical earthbender. He's physically fit from years of training and the extra musculature has given him a little more weight than the average person his height.

He looks older than he actually is but has thus far been unable to grow much facial hair, suggesting that he's still maturing as an adult.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW-

Guowei, like most native to the Earth Kingdom, is a very steadfast individual whose personality and beliefs are all but set in stone. On account of his upbringing he can come across as extremely methodical, but he is not entirely robotic.

He's a gentle person at heart with a love of flowers and board games. When alone with those who he is close with, such as his traveling companions, he has a sense of humor and jokes regularly with them. In this sense he's the typical seventeen-year-old boy. His responsibilities, however, have warped his individuality.

Avatars inherently desire peace and balance between the spirit world and human world, and Guowei is no different. This desire has been bastardized through his unusual upbringing within the walls of Ba Sing Se. He believes in the superiority of the Earth Kingdom compared to the other three nations and thinks that interference in the politics of surrounding nations is the best way to ensure peace and economic prosperity. He has also been numbed to the idea of crime and extermination and has no qualms about finding and killing the newest threat to the Earth Kingdom, seeing the other Avatar as an unnatural demon in need of eradication.

SPIRITUALITY-

Guowei obviously believes in the spirits, and as the Avatar he has a strong connection with them. Respect for the spirits is extremely important and his personal lifestyle has a heavy emphasis on meditation.

FIGHTING STYLE-

Guowei is naturally a very steadfast person and his fighting style reflects this. As strongly rooted in the earth as he is, his movements usually center more on endurance than anything else. Now that he is beginning to learn firebending he is starting to learn the style of that element, but overall his methods are still very methodical and slow.

HISTORY-

Guowei was born to a merchant family living in Omashu; the youngest of three children. At the age of five it became apparent that he had bending abilities and was whisked away to begin his training in the capital of Ba Sing Se. Throughout the years he was permitted to visit his family at various intervals, but all visits were carefully monitored and eventually he stopped visiting altogether.

He was raised on stories of the fire nation and the crimes committed against the other three kingdoms. His interactions with others were limited to Earth Kingdom nationalists. It is important to note that his childhood was not devoid of affection; he had an adopted family living within the inner ring who he is still close with today and his earthbending mentor is a kindly man who often invited him for tea and a board game.

When he was about fifteen years old, Earth Kingdom spies reported the existence of a second Avatar within the Fire Nation. This was when his training intensified.
